The People v. O.J. Simpson actor Sterling K. Brown has joined the cast of Marvel's upcoming Black Panther movie.
According to Marvel, Brown will play N’Jobu, "a figure from T’Challa aka Black Panther’s past." He joins a cast that already includes Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, and Danai Gurira, among others.

Brown won Outstanding Supporting Actor at last year's Emmy for his role as prosecutor Christopher Darden in The People v. O.J. Simpson. Brown can also be seen in the NBC drama This Is Us.
According to director Ryan Coogler, the upcoming Black Panther film is taking inspiration from Ta-Nehisi Coates' current Black Panther comics. "What [Coates] is doing with Panther is just incredible," said Coogler. "You can really see his background as a poet in some of the dialogue."
Black Panther is slated for a February 16, 2018 release.
