PS Plus Prices Rising By 25% in Europe

Prices in the US rose last year.

If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber living in Europe, we've got some bad news for your wallets.

From August 31, the price of your subscription is going up. Any recurring fees payable by you from that date onward will be charged at the new price. However, you do have until August 31 to purchase extra months at the current price.

The annual subscription will increase from £39.99 to £49.99 / €59.99. The quarterly subscription is increasing from £14.99 to £19.99 / €24.99, and the monthly subscription is going up from £5.99 to £6.99 / €7.99.

This follows a price hike in the US in August last year.

PS Plus is required to play online, but you also get free games every month. August's line up was revealed yesterday.
