Starz is still all in on Bryan Fuller and Michael Green's adaptation of American Gods, even though there is no set plan for when Season 2 will hit our TV screens.
Starz president Chris Albrecht spoke to reporters at the 2017 summer TV Critics' Association press tour about the future of the Neil Gaiman adaptation, and was confident about its long term future at the network.
"We are certainly on board for as long as the show makes sense for Starz, and there's no end in sight," he said.
However, with Gaiman and Green still breaking story on Season 2, Albrecht said there still is no target release date. "We're actively pursuing making sure that we can get it as soon as possible," he said.
Season 2 of American Gods will pick back up with House on the Rock, which was the cliffhanger for Bilquis at the end of Season 1. Initially those sequences were supposed to be included in Season 1, but Fuller and Green weren't satisfied with those scenes. As a result, Starz cut the episode order for Season 1 from 10 to eight. Season 2 has since been extended to a 10 episode order.
