Persona 5 is getting an anime television series called Persona 5 the Animation.
Atlus shared the news in a post on Twitter, confirming the series is being created by animation studio A-1 Pictures (Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online) and will debut in 2018.
A teaser for the series is live on Aniplex's official site, but it's currently only available for viewing in Japan.
This isn't the first time Atlus' popular role-playing franchise has received an anime adaptation. The story of Person 3 was told in a four-part anime movie series, and Persona 4 received two anime TV series adaptations.
Additionally, a 30-minute special Persona 5 called The Daybreakers was released prior to the game's launch.
Read IGN's Persona 5 review to find out why the game is a "new gold standard for Japanese RPGs and by far the best entry in the series yet."
