As production begins on X-Men: Dark Phoenix in Montreal, Professor X star James McAvoy took to social media to offer an early glimpse at the cast, as they're joined by Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Check out the photo below to see Prime Minister Trudeau alongside Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), writer/director Simon Kinberg and producer Hutch Parker, as well as McAvoy and his girlfriend Lisa Liberati.
Additionally, a few members from the The New Mutants cast—including Anya Taylor-Joy (Magik), Blu Hunt (Mirage), Maisie Williams (Wolfsbane) and Henry Zaga (Sunspot)—shared several photos of each other on Instagram, a few of which you can check out below:
Dark Phoenix is being directed by Simon Kinberg and will open in theaters on November 2, 2018. Meanwhile, The New Mutants will open in theaters on April 13, 2018. According to director Josh Boone, the X-Men spinoff will be a "full-fledged horror movie set within the X-Men universe."
Also opening in theaters next year is Deadpool 2, which began filming this week.
