Hi-Rez's Smite and Paladins was at its competitive best this week as the best teams in OCE competed at Cybergamer's Adelaide Studios to determine the Split 2 Results. Blank Esports — who will be representing Australia in the Overwatch World Cup — secured their spot in the finals of the Overwatch Pacific Championships and the League of Legends OPL cracked on with some fantastic showdowns.

Halo Australia's Melbourne LAN is taking place this weekend, for example — you can get more details in the full esports hub!
Paladins - Split 2 OPL Finals and Dreamhack Qualifiers
Kanga Esports went into the CyberGamer Pro League the way the Golden State Warriors went into the NBA Finals. To say they were the favourites would be understating it heavily. The Kings rose to the challenge repeated as the games carried out, however — they took game three thanks to some extremely clever play, and forced Kanga to dig deep. In the end though, Kanga proved to be too good, winning the series 4-1. Watch the Kings snag their only game in the match off the back of a team wipe.
Overwatch - OPC Playoffs
Blank Esports took on ahq e-Sports Club, the owners of the worst professional esports team name in history. The playoffs format for the OPC was a best of 3 best of 7 competition, wherein the third placed team played the second placed team in three days of best of 7 battles. The team which won two of the three best of sevens earned a place in the finals. It's like what Rube Goldberg might invent as a competition format. Nevertheless, Blank Esports won the first two days, meaning a third was not necessary.
Smite - OPL Split 2 Finals
Reigning Champs Dire Wolves took on Legacy Esports in the Smite OPL Split 2 Finals, and Legacy came through with the upset, winning 3 - 1. Legacy played well to secure their first victory over DW at LAN. The series wasn't worth a trip to more international competitions, which is a shame — Legacy could have used the experience against the top tier NA and EU teams at Dreamhack, and a rippling improvement would have lifted all of Oceania's Smite play. Nevertheless, this puts LGC at the top of the pile heading into Split 3.
League of Legends - OPL Split 2 Week 3
In the League of Legends OPL this week Sin Gaming lost a nailbiter against Avant, putting them in an even more precarious position on the table. The Chiefs were a tiny bit sloppy against Regicide, but the upstart team wasn't able to capitalise against the second place Chiefs. Legacy continued its top notch week in the League of Legends OPL, securing a tough win against TM, and the Dire Wolves continued to look dominant in a by-the-numbers victory against Abyss. Take a look below at a fantastic gank from the Chiefs as they exert their dominance over RGC.
