Tremors Star Bacon Back for TV Reboot of the Horror Movie

"What do I look like, an expert in worm?"

US network Syfy is circling a Tremors TV series, which will see Kevin Bacon returning to his role as Valentine McKee.

According to Variety, the network has picked up a pilot which could potentially spin into a series set 25 years after the 1990 flick left off. The set up sounds a little similar Starz's Ash vs Evil Dead spin off: Valentine must return to the small town of Perfection to defend it against the killer Graboid worms, but will have to "overcome age, alcphol and a delusional hero complex".

“This is the only character I’ve played that I’ve ever thought about revisiting,” Bacon told Variety. “I just got to thinking, where would this guy end up after 25 years? Andrew Miller has a fantastic take on it and we hope to create a show that will be fun and scary for fans of the movie and folks that have yet to discover it. Let’s kick some Graboid ass!”

Talk of a Tremors TV reboot starring Bacon popped up in 2015, but this is the first time a network's name has been attached.
