Someone Built Self-Lacing Shoes... Using Lego

While Nike has already created its own pair of self-lacing sneakers inspired by the ones worn Marty McFly in Back to the Future Part II, a crafty individual has taken it upon himself to create a pair of his own. Using Lego.

As reported by ShortList, an industrial designer named Vimal Patel built a contraption out of Lego with a small motor and attached it to a pair of in t shoes, resultinghe pair of self-lacing sneakers shown in the video below.

For more futuristic fun, take a look at the aforementioned Nike MAGs, the Back to the Future II-inspired shoes worn by Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), of which only 89 were made last year.
