Alan Stone co-founded Far East Video with Ron Judy in order to bring Nintendo's early coin-op games to the US, introducing the likes of Radar Scope and Donkey Kong to an untapped audience. Following their success, he co-founded Nintendo of America, and was involved with the development of the Nintendo Family Computer - soon to become the NES.

In 1994, Stone left Nintendo and became president and CEO of Sega Enterprises for over 10 years. He then went on to work at various companies in California, including time as COO of Nanotech Media.

Everyone here at IGN would like to extend our deepest condolences to Alan Stone's family and friends at this time.
