Mayans MC, FX's upcoming Sons of Anarchy spinoff, has found its lead in JD Pardo (Revolution, East Los High).
According to Deadline, Pardo will star as Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, "a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the Cali/Mexi border" with a vendetta against the cartel. Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica) was recently cast as EZ's father, Felipe.

The series' pilot, which takes place after the events of Sons of Anarchy, will be directed by Sons creator Kurt Sutter. Sutter also co-wrote the pilot alongside Elgin James, both of whom also serve as executive producers.
Production on Mayans MC is expected to begin next month, though an air date has yet to be announced. In the meantime, check out IGN's review of Sons of Anarchy's final season.
