Art from Cancelled Sci-Fi Game by God of War Dev Emerges

Images originate from an artist who allegedly worked on the project for three years.

Images thought to be from a cancelled Sony Santa Monica project have appeared online.

The unannounced PlayStation 4 project, thought to have been a new sci-fi IP, had been in development when layoffs hit the God of War studio three years ago.

The images - originally on an artist's personal site who allegedly worked on the project for three years - were discovered by nerdleaks but have since been removed. However, a whole raft of duplicates, which include detailed concept, character art, and CG models, have been uploaded to Imgur.

The images depict an array of human and not-so-human people, plus an assortment of fantastic beasts and sci-fi-esque backdrops.

Sony Santa Monica is currently working on a God of War reboot, which will be a single-player only experience and won't serve as Kratos' final game.
