Apple iPads are the perfect solution for your web surfing needs. You might be tempted to get a no-name tablet to save some dough. I'm here to warn you against making that decision. If future-you could travel back to time and give you a cryptic warning, it would be to avoid the temptation of a cut-rate tablet. And importantly, high-quality iPads aren't $500+ any more. They can be grabbed on-the-cheap, especially with the big sales running now.
Walmart and Jet.com (which is owned by Walmart) have some great iPad deals going on. If you're looking to enjoy all the Apple iPad has to offer, this is a great opportunity to do so. Walmart and Jet both have free 2-day shipping, too.
Apple iPad (5th Gen) 32GB for $249
This is the best deal going right now on a great iPad. The 32GB model is the sweet spot between price and storage needs, and if you spring for cloud storage, and really, why wouldn't you, it has plenty of room to store all your files and apps.

Apple iPad mini 4 with 128GB for $299 - Free 2-Day Shipping
This is another awesome deal. Yeah, it's a little smaller than the 5th gen, but it has a whopping 128GB of storage. It's too big to be a phone but too small to be a regular iPad, so it will keep the haters guessing. I'm reconsidering my earlier statement: this might actually be the best deal going right now on an iPad.

Apple 10.5-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi 64GB Space Gray for $589 - Free 2-Day Shipping
The iPad Pro is ridiculously powerful for a tablet, with a gorgeous screen. These are knocked down $60 from their normal $649 price.
-------------------------------

Apple 10.5-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi + Cellular 512GB Rose Gold for $1079 - Free 2-Day Shipping
This one is only marked down $20 from its list price, but I added it anyway because it's the most baller iPad on sale right now. Massive storage, WiFi - the works.
Save Even More Money With a Refurbished Model
Refurb electronics are one of my favorite ways to score something I want without having to pay full price. You've probably heard the spiel before, but if not, refurbs often go through more rigorous testing than new products, and these are certified refurbished, which makes them extra official.

Apple iPad Air 2 16GB (Refurbished) for $299
This costs as much as the mini 4 up there, but for the price you get more screen and a better processor.
-------------------------------

Apple iPad with Retina display 32GB Wi-Fi + Sprint (Refurbished) for $477.80 - Free 2-Day Shipping
The Retina display is gorgeous and I definitely recommend treating your eyes to its dense pixel-count delights. This version is also Sprint enabled, so if you're a Sprint customer, you can just scoop this little fella right up.
-------------------------------

Apple iPad mini 64GB Wi-Fi + AT&T (Refurbished) for $346 - Free 2-Day Shipping
If you're an AT&T fan, or you're considering making the commitment, this is a fine choice. That 64GB of space is nothing to scoff at, and the price? You'll be making the chef kiss motion all the way home.
Accessorize Your iPad
You probably don't think you need a case, and that might be true. I know nothing about you nor your life situation, so it would be pretty presumptuous of me to make such a claim. But I can definitely recommend protecting your investment.

Otter Box Defender Series iPad Mini Case for $28.47
I had an Otter Box Defender case for my old phone when I used to work out in the woods and other rugged places, and it never let me down. It adds bulk, but that bulk is in the name of a protective shell to encase you electronics in the greatest substance of all: pure safety.
-------------------------------
Apple Silicon Case for iPad 9.7 iPad Pro for $29.95
On the other side of the spectrum is this silicon case from Apple for the iPad 9.7 Pro. It's mostly to protect from scratches and sliding, and is a nice layer of protection between your device and the cruelness of the natural world.
-------------------------------

Filemate Composition Book Folio for iPad just $8.24
I like this cover a lot, purely for aesthetics. I have a couple composition books kicking around, and I don't generally use them. I just like the way they look and talk myself into buying them by telling myself stuff like "I'll keep a journal now."
-------------------------------

Apple iPad Smart Cover for $29.99
The smart cover is convertible, so you can use it to prop up your iPad while you use it. That makes it great for watching movies on, or playing games. It also has a really satisfying magnetic latch to keep it closed and in place.
