All the New Broadcast TV Shows Debuting Next Season

Set your DVR now.

While Netflix continues to disrupt the TV industry with its ambitious plan to crank out a staggering 1000 original projects in 2018, the broadcast TV networks are sticking to the tried-and-true schedule that has dictated their programming for decades - premiering their new shows in the fall and midseason (January-February).

ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and The CW just completed their new series pickups for the 2018-2019 season, which will see more than two-dozen new comedies, dramas and reality shows rolling out between now and next summer, along with their returning shows (and surprising resurrections like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which was saved from cancellation by Fox).

As in seasons past, what's old is new again, with the networks relying on shows that have name recognition or a nostalgia angle. CBS is debuting a reboot of Magnum P.I. and a revival of Murphy Brown; The CW has a new take on Charmed and a spinoff of one of their spinoffs in The Originals follow-up Legacies; and ABC is hoping to cash in on the popularity of fan-favorite actors like Castle alum Nathan Fillion, who returns to the network with The Rookie, and Scandal's Scott Foley, who's starring in Whiskey Cavalier alongside The Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan (though it remains to be seen how she'll juggle the two shows).

Check out our breakdown of all the new broadcast shows of the 2018-2019 season in the gallery below (or at least the ones the networks have released art and descriptions for so far), and let us know which you're most excited to see in the comments.
