Rainbow 6 Siege Operation Para Bellum Detailed - New Operators, Map, More

Get a taste of the action early on the PC test server.

Ubisoft has revealed more details on Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Para Bellum, one of the largest updates for the game so far, including two Italian operators and gameplay improvements.

Operation Para Bellum was announced earlier this month, alongside two new operators, and Ubisoft has gone into more detail on the Season 2 update following the  Pro League Finals.

It's described as "one of the largest content updates yet" for the game, with the Para Bellum Villa map promising to be the "most competitive" map to date. The update brings two new defending operators with it; Alibi and Maestro, members of the same "Italian Gruppo di Intervento Speciale (G.I.S.) unit."

Alibi is "notable for her deployable Hologram, a mechanism that makes it difficult for enemies to positively identify her from her incredibly realistic projections," while Maestro has his "remote access turret, which is also bulletproof, capable of seeing through smoke, and able to fire low powered-laser beams."

The Pick & Ban system, laid out in the roadmap earlier this year, is a part of the update, allowing players to veto operators during the selection phase.

Gameplay updates include buffs to the Clubhouse map and Echo operator, as well as:

  • Deployable Bullet Proof Cameras
  • New Counter Defuser Animation Dropshotting Adjustments
  • Weapon Sight Misalignment Adjustments
  • New Observation Tool Management
  • Operator Speed Adjustments

The PC test server for Para Bellum goes live tomorrow, May 22. The update will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, in June.
