Kingsman Sequel Title Revealed

Plus, director Matthew Vaughn shares a few details on the film's plot.

Matthew Vaughn's upcoming sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service now has an official title.

The film's title, which was revealed by Empire Magazine, will be Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The print edition of Empire also has a few details about the movie's plot. With regard to what fans can expect from The Golden Circle, Vaughn confessed he "didn't know if he wanted to direct" the film because he "was worried about the villain," noting "spy films are only as good as their villains." Fortunately, however, he said he awoke one morning "with the whole storyline in place, and a new villain plot." According to reports earlier this year, Julianne Moore is in talks to star as the movie's villain.

When asked whether or not he plans to recapture the iconic church scene from The Secret Service, Vaughn acknowledged fans' desire for another sequence of that ilk, saying that while he has "no reason for another massacre to happen," he does "have other sequences you've never seen before," including a barroom brawl, "a massive f---ing frankfurter attack," a skiing sequence and more.

For a first look at some concept art from the film, head over to ComicBookMovie.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens in theaters on June 16, 2017.
