Affleck Only Contracted for 2 Justice League Films

Batman returns (and then returns).

Ben Affleck's contract for Warner Bros.' DC movies covers two future Justice League films, but not for also starring in his proposed solo Batman movie.

THR reports that according to William Morris Endeavor's Patrick Whitesell, Affleck will be Batman at least three times in total, the first being the recent Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

"He's contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape," Whitesell said. "There's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option."

Affleck is also said to make a cameo appearance in Suicide Squad, which makes sense given that the cast is made up largely of Batman's rogue's gallery.

Batman v Superman had a huge opening weekend despite a poor critical reception. IGN's review felt Affleck's Batman carried the movie, but we were less impressed by its portrayal of Superman.
