Yo-Kai Watch’s Release Window Revealed

We knew Yo-Kai Watch was coming west, but today Nintendo announced a more specific time frame for its western release. Yo-Kai Watch will release this year during the Holiday 2015 window.

Yo-Kai Watch is a national sensation in Japan, and it could very well be the next Pokemon in the West.

Yoshi’s Woolly World US Release Date Revealed

During Nintendo’s Digital Event at E3 2015, the company confirmed that Yoshi’s Woolly World will release in the United States on October 16. This is months later than the Australian release date of June 25, European date of June 26, and the Japanese date of July 16.

Yoshi’s Woolly World will support Nintendo’s Amiibo figurines, including the impossibly-adorable yarn Yoshis that came as pre-order bonuses in the UK. No word yet on if the same is true for us in the States.

Yoshi’s Woolly World was originally revealed back in 2013 under the tentative name Yarn Yoshi. The game shares a similar aesthetic to 2010’s Kirby’s Epic Yarn.

The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes Revealed for 3DS

Nintendo has announced The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes, a co-op multiplayer adventure game for up to three players that's coming to 3DS in Fall 2015.

In a brief presentation, Zelda Producer Eiji Aonuma and Director Hiromasa Shikata gave an overview of how co-op will work in the new game.

The Zelda series has experimented with multiplayer gameplay in the past, but Nintendo wanted to make this iteration less focused around competition. "I wanted players to cooperatively enjoy more serious Zelda gameplay elements, like solving puzzles and going through dungeons," Shikata said.

The new footage shows off a totem mechanic, where Link can pick up his other two companions so they can stack up to reach higher places, activate switches, and hit weak points on taller enemies.

Nintendo Characters Coming to Skylanders Super Chargers on Wii U

Nintendo characters are coming to Skylanders Super Chargers for Wii U with Skylander and amiibo hybrid figures, CTO of Activision Mobile Karthik Bala revealed in an interview during E3 2015.

Turbo Charged Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser characters will be the first figures that can be used in Skylanders and amiibo supported games.

The figures can switch between Skylander and amiibo game support by clicking the bottom of the base around by 10 degrees. The Donkey Kong and Bowser figures can be used as in any Nintendo games that supsports any Donkey Kong and Bowser amiibos.

Footage revealed some insights into the new characters. For instance, Bowser can transform into a supercharged Magma Bowser and Diddy Kong makes a cammo, appearing in the passenger seat of Donkey Kong’s Barrel Blaster.

Rockstar Targets Cheaters in Grand Theft Auto: Online

Rockstar has introduced new systems to improve the detection of cheaters in Grand Theft Auto: Online.

"As part of our ongoing commitment to combat cheating and griefing, we have recently implemented new systems to allow us to more efficiently detect and target any players found running mods and cheat programs within GTA Online," writes Rockstar's "Q" on the Newswire.

"As a reminder, any attempt to tamper with the behavior of GTA Online by installing or executing mods, scripts, or other exploits, modifying the game files or manipulating the game in any way while it is executing will result in disciplinary action including but not limited to time in the cheater pool, bans and potential suspension of your account. Please help maintain the integrity of the GTA Online experience by keeping sessions free of modifications and exploits."

King's Quest: A Knight to Remember Releases Next Month

The debut episode of the reimagined King’s Quest will release in "late" July on PC, Playstation 4 and 3, and Xbox One and 360.

The chapter - entitled A Knight to Remember - is the first of five downloadable episodes of "the bold reimagining of one of adventure gaming’s most memorable franchises" and stars Christopher Lloyd as an old King Graham, Josh Keaton as a young Graham, Maggie Elizabeth Jones as Gwendolyn, and Zelda Williams as Amaya the Blacksmith.

We've enjoyed what we've played so far. In our hands-on preview earlier this year, we said that "this new reimagining of King’s Quest is a delightful surprise for an old-school adventurer like myself."
