Hello internet! We are pumped to open up IGN’s annual Code Foo program for applications! Code Foo is a paid, six-week, software engineer internship program at IGN's headquarters in San Francisco. We’re looking for impassioned coders and IGN fans to learn and work alongside us on a site that is seen by millions of people.
Our goal is to not only give you a hands-on, mentored experience, but to set you up for success by helping you grow as a developer and allowing you to find what you’re interested in. You’ll have the opportunity to work on and explore a variety of products, from general web development, to API and CMS systems, video players, comments, and mobile apps. Many of IGN's engineers have been part of our Code Foo program, and now, so can you.
We don’t require a resume; we just want to see what you can do, so we use this application process that tests your relevant skills. This means aspiring engineers of all levels can (and should!) apply. The program runs from July 5th, to August 15th. It is open to those eligible to work in the US. The upcoming application deadline is Sunday, April 15th, 2018 by the end of the day (11:59pm PDT), so don't wait!
We celebrate all things gaming and pop culture, which means you'll get to hang out with a lot of like-minded individuals who treat each other like family. You'll often find us hanging out after work and playing at the game stations, or discussing the latest plot twists in our favorite shows over lunch. At IGN, you won't get lost in a cubicle (because we don't have any) and will be encouraged to have some fun. Check out the office.
