If you're looking for the perfect gift for the Star Wars fan in your life, even if that person is you, this week you'll have a chance to bid on one of 1,000 limited edition Star Wars commemorative banknotes.
The notes are being auctioned to raise money for UK children's charity Together for Short Lives and feature the same level of security and detail found in legal tender. The bills are printed by currency maker De La Rue.
For example, some features are only visible under UV light, while others "are quite obvious," according to creative director Julian Payne.
The Star Wars money will be auctioned off on eBay, with the first 1,000 going on the block December 8. An additional 50 hand-printed, serialized notes will go on sale "over the following 10 days," according to news.com.au.
If you want to ensure you get one, the Buy it Now price on the first 1,000 is £100. If you don't live in the UK, eBay takes care of the conversion rate for you. The special edition notes will be up for auction and will probably fetch a higher price given their rarity.
