Attack on Titan Season 3 Coming in 2018

Update: The third season of Attack on Titan is tentatively scheduled for release in spring 2018.

Funimation shared the news during its panel at Anime Expo 2017, according to a post on Twitter by AoT Wiki:

Original story: Attack on Titan will return for a third season in 2018.

The next season of Wit Studio's popular anime series was announced at the conclusion of Season 2's final episode, titled "Scream." The news was also relayed via the show's Twitter account, which included the following teaser image:

The announcement card was shown during the Japanese broadcast, which debuted earlier today.

It's also worth noting that the announcement did not specify how many episodes will be included in Season 3. The second season of Attack on Titan spanned just 12 episodes, less than half the the first season's 25-episode count.
