Justice League Tracking to Open Less Than Suicide Squad

Justice League might not hit BvS' $166 million domestic opening.

It appears Justice League might open behind Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming DC superhero ensemble film is tracking to open in the $110 million to $120 million range domestically. This puts it behind BvS' $166 million U.S. opening and Suicide Squad's $133.7 million opening. Still, Justice League is tracking to open ahead of Wonder Woman, which grossed $103.3 million in its first weekend at the U.S. box office earlier this year.

That said, box office observers note that Warner Bros. has yet make its final marketing push for Justice League, which might still have an effect on its opening box office total.

Meanwhile, Thor: Ragnarok will open in theaters two weeks before Justice League on November 3. Marvel Studios' latest is expected to make between $90 million and $100 million over the November 3-5 weekend.

Justice League opens in theaters on November 17. For more on the upcoming DC movie, read about Justice League's comparatively short runtime, and check out some brand new posters and our breakdown of the latest trailer, which is filled with hidden details.
