Here's All the News From the 2017 BAFTA Awards

One of the most prestigious awards in the arts, the 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards were held in Los Angeles to recognize exceptional achievements in UK and US film and television.

The event naturally brought out all the stars, making it a who's-who of international celebrities. Here's a run down of everything that happened during tonight's show.

English comedian Jack Whitehall hosted the awards show, opening the ceremony by asking Claire Foy if the Queen of England had seen The Crown.

John Lithgow introduced Claire Foy to accept her Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year, saying, "Acting with Claire was one of the greatest joys of my 50 year career."

The Crown actress Claire Foy accepted her Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year.

Director Edgar Wright introduced Aziz Ansari for his Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence In Comedy, and gushed about Ansari's series Master of None.

Director Christopher Nolan introduced actor and director Kenneth Branagh for his Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award.

Matt Damon took home the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film, and Kate Mara accepted on his behalf. "He was a true leader," Mara said of Damon.

Director of the upcoming A Wrinkle in Time Ava Duvernay won the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing.

Kevin Spacey brilliantly introduced Dick Van Dyke for his Britannia Award for Excellence in Television.

Film and television legend Dick Van Dyke accepted his Britannia Award for Excellence in Television.
