This page contains the location of all 25 Papyrus Puzzles in Assassin's Creed Origins.
Each one contains a clue or riddle indicating the location of a piece of rare or legendary gear. The rewards are randomized, and come in the form of a bow, sword or shield - you'll also earn a few hundred drachmas and 500 experience points for your trouble.
In Siwa, come find me at the bottom of the only bowl big enough for a god.
This clue is found in the House of Life, the large(ish) temple on the south-western end of Siwa village. You'll find the clue sitting on a table under a canopy on your right when entering the rear courtyard of the temple.
While you may assume that this refers to one of the large lakes in the region, there is actually a sizeable well to the south-east of the Temple of Amun. Dive into the well and collect the reward from the open sarcophagus.
If you head to the other side of the Nile in Ineb-Hedjet Nome, you can find a peak with a great view of the Nile. take a look around, then come find me, hiding under the only tree nearby
The riddle for this Papyrus Puzzle can be found in the northeast corner of the Wabet mummification temple.
Go through the doorway in that quadrant of the main chamber, then into the alcove to in the back-left corner of the room you find yourself in where you can find the riddle on a desk.
To find the vista, head to the large mountain range on the opposite side of the river from the farmlands between Giza and Memphis. There’s a solitary tree sprouting rom the sand to the south of the mountain.
Make your way to the tree that lies on this side of the Nile at the foot of the mountain. In the large reddish-brown bush at its base you’ll find the reward.
In the southwst section of the green mountains lives a monstrous beast with sharp tusks and tough gray skin. In his deadly arena you can find me, between the edge of the arena and where the beast sates his thirst.
This Papyrus can be found in the Apollonion of Cyrene in Kyrenaika. Enter the Apollonion via the main entrance and find the clue sitting on a table in the back-left corner of the central chamber.
In the southwest area of the Green Mountains region, you'll find the battle arena for the War Elephan Surus. You'll need to enter the arena to collect this reward, which will automatically put you into conflict with Surus and his masters. Run and dodge to avoid being killed (especially if you're under level for the region), and grab the loot from the center of the thin strip of dirt between the large shallow pool and the western wall of the arena.
In Sapi-Res Nome, north of Letopolis Temple, you can find me in the farmland. I lay where man's creation brings the Nile's water to desert sand.
Find the riddle for this Papyrus Puzzle inside the open-walled barn (with the two pillars in the center) on the south-east end of Zephyros's Stables in Kanopos Nome, on a table in the covered portion of the building.
From the central Letopolis area, follow the riverbank north until you reach a series of irrigation channels that lead up towards the green fields a ways inland. You'll find this treasure in the irrigation drain leading north into a large patch of sand between two green fields.
Alexandria is large and noisy, but one part is quiet, lonely and surrounded by water. The fallen palm tree points to where I lay, where land meets water.
In the Iseion building, on the northwestern island above Alexandria, you can find this Papyrus clue on a table sitting behind the large statue.
In the center of the bay on the north side of Alexandria, between the large lighthouse and the library, is an uninhabited island. You'll find the treasure on the western bank, atop a small rocky outcropping with a fallen tree next to it.
In the center of Sap-Meh Nome you can find me hidden in a canyon near Anthylla, in the center of the Western Nile Delta. I'm under a tree that thinks it's unique, but only because the nearby rock bridge is blocking it from seeing the others of its breed.
Find this riddle in the Library of Alexandria. When entering through the main central doorway, follow the stacks around to the left and around the corner. You'll find the Papyrus on a table just across from the stairs leading up to the second level.
Travel to Sap-Meh Nome and approach Anthylla Camp from the road, then veer off to the left before you reach it. You'll find the reward beneath a tree directly next to the rock bridge that you encounter, on the left-hand side.
Two men stand guard on the Memphis eastern canal. The South one looks solemnly at his sunken friend. If you follow his gaze, you can find him and me on the river floor.
Heading through the North entrance to the Temple of Ptah, find this riddle by making your first right inside the temple, then following the rim of the pool around the the south-west corner of the room. Make a U-turn through the gate and collect the papyrus from the table under the awning.
A few dozen meters east of the mouth of the central canal into the city, the mast of a sunken ship rises out of the water. Just a bit closer to the city than this wreck, you’ll find a broken statue down on the river bed - next to this third statue you’ll find the loot.

A few hundred meters north west of the Temple of Sekhmet, which resides by Lake Mareotis, there is a great place to go for a date. Full of palm trees and surrounded by desert, one rock fence was built and closed off with no exit. Find me there.
Inside Hypostyle Hall, the large chamber in the Temple of Sekhmet in Lake Mareotis, climb up to the second level and find this clue on a table near the eastern wall.
To the north-west of the temple on Lake Mareotis you'll find a small oasis full of trees and ruins. You can find the Papyrus loot in the center of an unbroken stone square, next to a ruined hut and covered well.
At the bottom border of Paraitonion is a village of ghosts. I'm in the house of the blasphemous man, who built his house farthest from Ra, the sun god's, dawning grace.
You can find this puzzle in the town of Balagrae in the eastern part of the Green Mountains region. It rests on a table inside the gazebo in the gardens behind the Asklepieion.
You'll find the loot for this puzzle near the ruins of the town of Keno - at the very southern side of Paraitonion.
There is one ruin overlooking the others from the top of a tall hill to the west - in the center of this destroyed building you'll find your reward.
On an Island south east of Krokodilopolis there is a river with unnatural color. Nearby you'll see the cause, and I'll be inside the only one that's unique.
From the western entrance to the Palace of Apries, head inside and take a left inside the first courtyard. Head through doorway to the north, then follow that path through the next yard to your left. In the center of this courtyard, enter the chamber through the door with the ivy-covered pergolas outside of it.
Once inside, enter the central room with the small pool and climb the bookshelf (or scroll-shelf, as it were) in the north-east corner to find the clue resting on top.
In Krokodilopolis, head across the shallow channel to the small south-eastern island.
You'll find several clay pits - the "unique" one is the uncolored, grayish one in the center of the island.
In Atef-Pehu Nome there is a law that states that you can only make pottery on the east side of the road. I'm hidden atop the one illegal clay smoker in the region.
In the small settlement directly south of Philadelphia, in the Faiyum Oasis, this clue can be collected from a table in the fenced-in yard of a building on the east side of the village.
Follow the road that runs along the coast of Atef-Pehu Nome - in (roughly) the center of the region, there is an area with several large smoking furnaces on the east side of the road (directly next to the river) and one on the west (the inland side). Climb onto the pile of pots in this western smoker to find the puzzle reward.
In the east section of the Kanopos Nome is a ravaged land, where many trees fell and lost their home. I'm by the orphan tree whose parents fell down nearby, pointing toward their lonely daughter.
Enter the Great Synagogue's rear courtyard to find this puzzle clue sitting under a canopy on the back side of the building.
To the south-east of the stables is a large central island covered in mud and debris. Heading south, you'll find the reward beneath a small tree, one that rests between two large fallen ones.
In the Qattara Depression there is only one place that isn't dry and sad. At dawn's first light there is one tree near the valley's entrance whose roots are halfway between Ra's glory and Apophi's shadow. Find me there but make haste, for Ra moves quickly.
In Alexandria, enter the Tomb of Alexander the Great from the gardens to the east of the rotunda.
Inside the monumental round chamber, climb the pillars to reach the upper level and find the clue sitting by a statue's feet.
Use your map to find the oasis in the north-west section of the Qattara Depression (this is the same general area as you'll find a Hermit Location). You can find the reward next to the smallest bush to the very far east of the path leading through the canyon and into the oasis.
In southern Herakleion Nome you can find me beneath the tree who fancies himself a king.
You can find this puzzle on the second floor of the house on the west end of the village of Natho, on the central southern isle in Herakleion Nome.
You can find the reward for this puzzle on the south side of the massive tree sitting on a very small island to the south of the Neith Cradle bandit camp.

In the southeast of Iment Nome lies a broken ship. If you meditate til morning, an X will mark my hiding spot.
Find this clue in the main chamber of the Temple of Horus in Letopolis, next to the large supine Horus statue on the right side of the chamber (from the main entrance into the room).
The ship in reference is the fast travel point in the south-east part of Iment Nome. Use the Dawn & Dusk ability to fast-forwrd time to morning, then collect the reward from where the X is formed by the shadow of the ships old rigging.
East of Krokodilopolis, south of the shattered pyramid, a large beast of a god stares angrily at a pharoh who shows him no respect. I'm hidden behind the blasphemer's head.
Enter the Temple of Sobek in the northern part of Krokodilopolis, in the Faiyum Oasis. From the south entrance, head into the room on your left and scale the large statue of Sobek to reach the upper level.
You'll find the riddle in the corner of the room above the door you entered from.
There is a large squared-off temple with pillars to the south of the "shattered" pyramid (the one that is also this area's fast-travel point).
Inside is a large statue of Sobek, across from which, following the roof of the temple, is the back of a statue's head. You'll find the reward for the puzzle here, next to the "blasphemous" statue's head.
In Giza, three pyramids stand tall. From the top of the smaller one you can see quite a lot, even two mushroom roks, the smaller of which I lay atop of.
This Papyrus can be found in the Eastern Cemetary of Giza. Locate the burial chamber with the open roof (it's the one in the north-east corner) and drop down into it. You'll find this riddle on a table inside.
Northwest of the smaller pyramid - the tomb of Menkaure - you can see two rocks that look rather like mushrooms sitting near the edge of the mountains to the west. You'll find the reward by climbing the smaller one and standing on top.
There is a place of remembrance for the unfortunate masses in northwest Haueris Nome. While I rest here, immobile, I cannot escape Ra's grace, but at least every dawn I avoid him longer than the others.
To the southeast of the small village of Euhemeria in Faiyum is the Valley Market - you can find this riddle on the second stall from the top of the northern stairs on the second floor of the market.
This treasure can be found in front of the second south-most eastern tomb in the small burial area that has been created on the north-western side of the Haueris Nome region. While you may think the "avoiding [Ra]" line may have meant the tomb would be on the western side, the tall rock formations on the eastern side of the area mean that this tomb is the last to be struck by the Sun's light every day.
In Faiyum, north of Dionysias Caravanserai, there is a tower with a hole by its feet. It's in need of support, so I sit behind it, but the wooden beams seem more helpful.
This clue can be found in Karanis, in the northeastern section of Faium, inside the Sarapeion of Karanis.
You can find the papyrus on the second level of the left-hand side of the room, towards the back of the chamber.
While riding south towards the Caravanserai military camp, bear east towards the river to find this tower tilted precariously towards the ground off a slight hill. The reward can be found tucked into an oustide corner on the north-east side of the building.
In the south section of Mareotis Lake there is an island full of ruins. A man stares at me all day, it's quite a bother, so I'm hiding behind a column that blocks his sight.
Enter the Sarapeion in Alexandria via the northern entrance, then follow the courtyard around to the right. You'll find this riddle on a desk in the rear chamber on the western wall.
Go to the island in the southern part of Lake Mareotis and make your way through the ruins to the south end of the island.
You'll find a broken pillar down the stairs from the main ruins, blocking the view of a pharaoh statue to the north - at the base of this column you'll find the treasure.
Southeast of the city Hermopolis is a leapord's den in Uab Nome. At the top of their territory lies a place where birds should live, but do not. If you take a leap of faith, you can find me.
Enter the Temple of Thoth built into the western cliffside of Hermopolis and proceed all the way to the chamber at the back to find the riddle.
Directly across from the south-easter tip of Haueris Nome is a leapords den, with some ruins sitting high atop a cliff. Climb to the top and out onto the large tree branch pointing north, then make a Leap of Faith into the caves below.
You'll find your reward directly next to the landing pad.
In Herakleion Nome, East of the temple of Khonsou, is a village that is more water than land. Behind two houses with different problems, one whose feet are always wet, and the other who can't cover his head, you can find me sitting under a tree.
Enter the Temple of Khonsou in Herakleion from the south - it's the large central structure on the large island. You'll find this clue in the first room you enter, sitting on a table near some shelving on your right.
In the center of the eastern islands of the Nome is a small village of Yw Huts. You can find this treasure in the north-west corner of the village, under a tree next to two huts that are as described in the riddle.
South of Cyrene, in the Green Mountains, there is a lake whose water comes from a magical stream. I'll be at the source of that magic, where water flows from nothing.
Find this Papyrus clue in the Tomb of Battos, near te Akropolis in Cyrene. Climb the rotunda from the outside, then drop down into it through the hole in th ceiling. You can either climb down the pillars inside or jump into the pool, then find the riddle at the top of the stairs leading downwards.
Follow the road south from Cyrene into the Green Mountains, and veer up to the top of the large mountain to the west. Be careful, particularly if you're under level, as lions and bandits roam this area.
At the top of the mountain is a large bandit camp, west of which is the lake the riddle mentions. Follow the stream leading into the lake up the rocks to its source to find the reward.
North of Apollonia, I'm next to a lifesaver. It guides in darkness and fog, and I sit beside it under something that did not heed its warning.
Enter the Temple of Zeus in Cyrene and collect the clue from the small table to the right of the statue.
Head to the lighthouse on the rocky island in the northern waters of Apollonia.
You can collect the reward from the sand next to the crashed rowboat on the northern side of the island.
In the Green Mountains where they're building a great aqueduct, go find its source high up in the mountains. Inside, you can find me sitting at the bottom of the lowest pool, tucked away beside two large jars.
This riddle can be found at the Oracle of Apollo, in the northern section of the Green Mountains. Head inside the temple and pick it up off the ground next to the shelves in an alcove on your right.
Make your way to the western end of the aqueduct, in the center of the Green Mountains.
Climb the hill just west of the construction to find a cave. Head inside and dive into the pool below the scaffolding - you'll find the reward at the bottom of the western edge of the pool.
