Children of Morta: 6 Minutes of This Diablo-Meets-Pixel-Art RPG

All month long we're highlighting cool games that might not be on your radar, as part of IGN First: Games to Watch in 2018.

And we're kicking things off with an extra special one. Do you like action-RPGs? Do you like cooperative play with a friend? If so, feast your eyes on a healthy chunk of gameplay and cutscenes from Children of Morta, developed by Dead Mage and published by 11 Bit Studios. This is classic dungeon diving with five main characters (and two more unlockable ones), with what looks like an intriguing story, and some beautiful artwork.

There's also a scene where a puppy tries to defiantly protect its dying mother from approaching monsters... oof. It's basically THAT scene from The Lion King.
