WWE 2K18 will now be released on Nintendo Switch, as well as PS4 and Xbox One.
Announced in a video by cover star Seth Rollins, this will be the first WWE game on a Nintendo console since WWE '13 on Wii.
The video does not mention a release date. While PC and Xbox versions will arrive on October 17, PC entries in the series are usually released several months later - it may be that the Switch version will follow a similar pattern.
Also unmentioned is how the game will be adapted for the less powerful hardware. EA Sports' FIFA 18, for instance, is being released on Switch using a different engine, and with fewer features than its PS4 and Xbox One counterparts.
One detail is included in the announcement: those who pre-order will unlock Kurt Angle as a playable character.
We've contacted 2K for more information on the Switch version.
