Epic's co-op survival game Fortnite has hit a major sales milestone.
Fortnite creative director Darren Sugg revealed on Twitter that the long-gestating title had sold over 500,000 digital pre-order copies. This number doesn't reflect the full number of sales after the game's release, nor does it take into account how many retail pre-order copies were sold.
"Absolutely humbled by the response to this week's @FortniteGame launch," Sugg tweeted. "500k+ digital pre-order sales and just getting started! Thank YOU."
Fornite has been in the works for quite some time and was first announced over five years ago. For more on the cartoony co-op survival game, which launched yesterday as a Early Access title, check out IGN's tips and tricks for the game, as well as all of its achievements/trophies and how to unlock them.
Fortnite is set to go free-to-play sometime in 2018.
