Batman and Catwoman Evolutions Coming in Gotham S4

"Batman is coming. Absolutely."

David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne on Gotham, recently shed light on what's ahead for his character, as well as Camren Bicondova's Selina Kyle in Season 4.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Mazouz said that, in the wake of the events at the end of Season 3, "Bruce really is taking on this vigilante persona and all the things that go along with that."

Mazouz went on to note that the creation of this new persona and "his relationship as this other person" is "definitely going to be a major part of Bruce's journey this year." Removing any shred of doubt, he added, "Batman is coming. Absolutely."

The actor also spoke to what lies ahead for Selina Kyle, teasing an important evolution for the character in Season 4 as well. "Selina is also going to be transforming into Catwoman in a major way this season," he said. "She's definitely going to be making a leap into her evolution as Selina, as Catwoman."

With regard to what that means for Bruce and Selina's relationship going forward, Mazouz said that while their "relationship as we knew it before will really start to crumble because of certain events that happen early on in the season," the relationship between "prototype Catwoman" and Bruce as a masked vigilante "will be a different thing altogether."

Gotham moves Thursday night when Season 4 premieres this fall on FOX.
