If you want to add an extra TV to your life and do it on the cheap, Walmart has a bunch of HD sets on clearance right now, with the large majority of them coming in well below $200. One set actually has a clearance price of $59.99, making it the same cost as a new-release video game. It's crazy. Remember when HD sets were in the thousands of dollars? It wasn't that long ago.
If you're unfamiliar with Walmart's website, it's actually a pretty sweet deal. They'll give you free shipping on orders over $35, or you can opt to just swing by the nearest location and pick up your item if you don't want to wait.
Most of these TVs are 1080p, but some of the smaller screens in this clearance sale are 720p. But at the smaller sizes, you probably won't be able to tell the difference between HD and FHD. Smaller screens don't need higher resolutions to still look sharp. But again, these aren't intended to be your flagship living room display. These aren't top of the line models, but they have one great feature: they're ridiculously inexpensive, which is what makes them perfect as a second or third TV.
Sceptre
Sceptre started its professional life as a computer monitor manufacturer, all the way back in 1984. It was a different time then. Lots of people still had black and white televisions. If someone had a TV bigger than 19-inches in 1984, it's because they were filthy rich. Now you can buy piece of technology completely unimaginable to someone in 1984 for the price of the new God of War. It's kind of crazy, really.

Sceptre also has a bunch of sets with built-in DVD players, which is pretty convenient. If you're like me and you have a few boxes of DVDs laying around, or you know someone who does and you want to get them a pretty sweet gift, this is a good bargain. While DVDs are standard-resolution, they still look better on an HD display than they ever looked on that CRT set you finally hauled to the trash.
Seiki

There are 2 sets from Seiki on clearance right now, and they both have the same free 2-day shipping as the other sets. The 40-inch set is 1080p and at $169.99, that's a phenomenal price. It's the best bang for your buck of the sub-$200 sets on clearance right now.
RCA

RCA started off life as a manufacturer of radios. That's what the "R" stands for, actually. Once upon a time, radios were the must-have consumer electronics device. Now radios are everywhere. You can get a radio for your shower. High definition television sets should definitely not be used in the shower, but at these prices, it's kind of tempting.

There's also a big selection of RCA HD sets with built-in DVD players. It's another instance of two technologies formerly available only to the luxury class now being available to the common people for super low prices. Remember when the cool thing to have was a DVD player in your car? No? Trust me on this, I'm old.
Vizio

Vizio has been around. You've heard of Vizio, probably. When they first showed up on the scene, they were the company you'd never heard of offering good quality HDTV sets at prices regular people could afford. They basically kick started affordable HDTVs. This set comes it at just under $100, weighs a mere 7.21 pounds, and is ideal for a second TV.
