This week our esports highlights have a bit of everything — we've got some CSGO, some StarCraft 2, a bit of Street Fighter V and Gears of War 4 rushes its way back into our hearts as teams from around Australia showed up in all of the above.

CSGO - ESEA Season 26 AU Premier
The only AU spot at the ESEA Season 26 Global Challenge was up for grabs on the weekend, and after a tough weekend of games, the Chiefs emerged victorious. They beat Legacy, the Kings and Athletico on their path to victory, with the Chiefs' Malta and Pecks both having a huge impact in the games. Watch Malta sneakily secure this round win for the Chiefs on Mirage — the closest map between the two teams.
StarCraft 2 - ANZ Proleague
The Starcraft 2 ANZ Proleague is an excellent excuse to watch more StarCraft 2 as the best players from Australia and New Zealand duke it out. A celebration of StarCraft 2's change to free-to-play, week one saw some heavy duty games and two really close matchups. SYF Gaming defeated Legacy in a nailbiter, and 1F Pro Gaming fell to Downfall in a similarly close showdown. OSC Elite lost in SYF's second battle for the week. Watch below as Seither loops around Probe to win the Ace match against Legacy.
Street Fighter V - Southern Cross Championship 2017
Some Street Fighter V action from South Australia this weekend proved to be extremely entertaining. The debut of Masterminds GC's fighting game team was fantastic — ROF and Travis Styles worked hard to establish Masterminds' position as an Aussie FGC team to watch. The pair dominated the competition until a team fight in the winner's bracket's finals saw ROF heading to face off with Dark Sided's Somniac in the Loser's bracket, where he lost. Travis Styles avenged his fallen teammate in the Grand Finals, however, only dropping a single game before he won the tournament — and a trip to Evo Japan. Watch it below.
Gears of War 4 - Sydney Open
Gears of War 4 has seen a bit of a resurgence recently thanks to the release of the Xbox One X — Epic's third person splatterfest shooter looks even better on the beasty 4K machine. The Sydney Open wound up just being a stepping stone for MindFreak, who went undefeated throughout the weekend to secure the biggest helping from the $10,000 prize pool, because they also secured a trip the MLG Dallas Major this coming weekend. Watch some of the action from the Grand Finals match below — it's a super entertaining game to watch.
