Stephen King's IT is currently terrifying audiences all over the world. The appeal of this new adaptation isn't just that Hollywood has done right by a Stephen King book (something that doesn't happen often enough), but that the film is also crammed with little details that pay homage to the complex source material. IT is packed with references to the novel, as well as a few nods to the 1990 miniseries and even other Stephen King stories.

The movie is enjoying a very successful run at the box office right now, setting a new record for the highest opening for a horror movie ever. Unsurprisingly, New Line already seems eager to move forward with an IT sequel.
