June's line-up of free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for Gold subscribers has been announced.
The full lineup, plus when they'll be available, is:
Announced back in 2014, SpeedRunners is a multiplayer side-scrolling racing game that won the Gamer's Voice Award at the SXSW Gaming Awards in 2015.
The first Watch Dogs released in 2014 from Ubisoft. IGN gave Watch Dogs an 8.4 at the time, saying the hacking action game "is fundamentally very well made, and has more than enough unique ideas to make it a great and memorable open-world action game. Its sequel released in 2016 — for more on that game, check out IGN's Watch Dogs 2 review.
Assassin's Creed III capped off the Desmond storyline of the long-running Ubisoft franchise, taking players back to the American Revolution. At the time, IGN gave Assassin's Creed III an 8.5, saying the game "isn’t as huge an improvement upon its predecessors’ achievements as many players will be hoping for, but it’s still up there with the best that the series has achieved - even if it isn't quite the best." Ubisoft recently teased that the next Assassin's Creed is coming within the company's current fiscal year.
IGN gave Dragon Age: Origins an 8.7 at the time of its release in 2009. "Incredibly deep and expansive, Dragon Age: Origins is one of those titles that can easily swallow up dozens of hours of play and keep you coming back for more," IGN's review said. A BioWare writer recently said a new Dragon Age entry is currently in the works.
Gold members also get a free multiplayer DLC pack for Phantom Dust starting June 1, which normally would cost $14.99. Xbox re-released Phantom Dust for Xbox One and Windows 10 last week for free. Phantom Dust's original release scored an 8.5 in our review due to the depth of both the single player and online components of this cleverly disguised card battle game.
