Kurt Angle Replacing Roman Reigns at WWE TLC

Oh, it's true. It's damn true. Plus, AJ Styles will face Finn Balor instead of Bray Wyatt.

There's some BIG news coming out of WWE today, just two days out from the company's annual TLC (Tables, Ladders and Chairs) PPV this Sunday, October 22nd.

Kurt Angle will be returning to action at the PPV - replacing Roman Reigns in the main event, teaming with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose against Kane, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro in a TLC Match.

That's right, not only is Kurt Angle apparently medically cleared to return to a WWE ring for the first time since 2006, but he's going to be a part of a giant, dangerous Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.

So why the replacement? No one knows for sure at this time, though perhaps the PPVs other big change could shed some light on things.

Bray Wyatt is also not wrestling at the PPV, having to abandon his match against Finn Balor because of a rumored bout with viral meningitis. Bray, along with brother Bo Dallas, have been absent from RAW for the past two weeks because of the illness. Ring announcer Jojo is reported to have been infected as well.

Replacing Bray Wyatt at the PPV will be SmackDown Live brand's AJ Styles (in what's kind of an impromptu dream match for many of us fans).

Now, we don't know exactly why Roman is off the card as of this time, but WWE is reporting that it's also a "medical issue." Could it be the same one affecting Bray? Does Roman also have viral meningitis? If so, then RAW's got a serious problem.

Obviously, this is exciting news because of Angle's return and the potential for Styles vs. Balor to be a fantastic match, but it's also a bit of a bummer because the entire TLC PPV was created around The Shield reuniting after five years. Also, Bray Wyatt was in the midst of a "Sister Abigail" angle that...on second thought, maybe it's a good thing to drop that one cold.
