While only three movies into their own version of "Phase 1" (compared to Marvel's 14-film head-start), DC has big plans for their cinematic universe (the DCEU), having announced a slate of films extending all the way through 2020.
Unlike Marvel though, DC's plans don't include synergy across all mediums. Their movies, while containing many of the same characters, do not cross over with the CW TV-verse that includes Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl, or standalone DC shows like Gotham and the upcoming Powerless. Yes, DC's betting big and doubling up on their heroes, and Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad were just the tip of the iceberg as this year is set to deliver a Wonder Woman solo movie and Justice League.
Let's take a look at the road ahead for the DCEU. From Justice League to Aquaman, The Batman, Green Lantern Corps, and beyond, sift through the following slideshow of all of DC's planned movies.
Certainly, many of these later projects aren't set in stone yet, especially regarding release date. But it's clear from the DCEU slate that Warner Bros. will continue to mine its comics properties for years to come.
