Paul Bettany has joined Disney and Lucasfilm's upcoming Han Solo movie.
Director Ron Howard shared the news on Twitter, posting a photo of himself and the actor, and saying, "The Outer Rim just got a little bit wilder."
Howard confirmed the actor's involvement in a subsequent post, noting this isn't the first time the two have worked together. "It's my third opportunity to work with Paul. He's a blast and so talented," Howard said. Bettany appeared in both A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code, both of which were directed by Howard.
Bettany is also known for his work on several MCU films. He voiced Jarvis in the Iron Man movies and starred as Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. Next year, Bettany will return to the big screen as Vision in Avengers: Infinity War.
The Han Solo movie will be released in theaters on May 25, 2018. Howard stepped in to direct the still untitled Star Wars spinoff after Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were dropped from the project.
