Call of Duty: WW2 Preorder Bonuses Revealed

Sweet, sweet pre-order incentives.

Activision has revealed what Call of Duty: WW2 players can expect as preorder bonuses for the upcoming shooter.

Check out the new trailer below for a breakdown of the multiplayer-focused preorder bonuses, including a permanent weapon unlock:

All players who preorder Call of Duty: WW2 will receive the Multiplayer Upgrade, which grants access to a Weapon Unlock Token. This token can be traded for any weapon of a player's choice in multiplayer mode, potentially kitting out first-time players with advanced weaponry early in the game. In addition, the Multiplayer Upgrade grants double experience points in multiplayer mode, although the small print confirms that this will only last for the first four hours of gameplay.

It's also been confirmed, in response to a query from a fan, that these bonuses will retrospectively apply to any preorders that have already been placed — any existing preorders will be upgraded automatically. The bonuses apply to any preorder made right up until the game's release, but only at specific retailers. These vary from region to region, but can be found at the Call of Duty website.

Activision's CEO recently hinted at the possibility of more historical outings for the Call of Duty franchise, while developer Sledgehammer recently detailed changes coming to multiplayer following the game's beta.

Call of Duty: WW2, the franchise's first return to the Second World War since 2008, launches for PC, PS4 and Xbox One Friday, November 3.
