Doomsday Clock may be a story about Superman confronting Doctor Manhattan, but that's not the only major encounter between a DC hero and a Watchmen character taking place in this upcoming maxi-series. Doomsday Clock will also unite Batman and Rorschach.
Today DC revealed a new Doomsday Clock teaser showing the Dark Knight reading an iconic page from Rorschach's journal:
DC is promising more news to come about Doomsday Clock, with writer Geoff Johns taking a prominent role at New York Comic Con in October. Johns will take the stage at DC's Doomsday Clock panel on Friday, October 6 at 6pm EST, where he'll reveal more about what's to come for this major DC/Watchmen crossover.
It remains to be seen whether Batman and Rorschach will actually meet in the flesh during the course of Doomsday Clock. Rorschach was famously killed by Doctor Manhattan at the end of Watchmen, with his journal serving as the only record of the truth behind Ozymandias' actions. But with an unmasked Rorschach seemingly appearing on one of the covers to Doomsday Clock #1, it's not impossible that he'll be making his return.
Doomsday Clock #1 is scheduled for release on November 22.
