American McGee is starting work on a proposal for a new Alice game.
According to the game designer's website, the next chapter is tentatively titled Alice: Asylum. The proposal, containing artwork, a design outline and the business model, is being prepared and will be sent to EA for appraisal.
It was only two months ago that American McGee asked fans to stop asking about a possible Alice sequel or remaster. He is now hopeful for the new idea, but admits that he "can't promise the pitch will result in a new game, but we might as well try, right?"
McGee is now asking fans to sign up to a mailing list and contact EA in order to show support for the new project. He recently had a successful Kickstarter campaign to bring a fairy tale card game and book called Out of the Woods to life.
American McGee's Alice was first released in the year 2000, and the sequel, Madness Returns, was released in 2011.
