It's that time of year again: E3 2017 is just on the horizon. From June 10-15, we'll be covering the biggest games and hardware announcements of 2017 and beyond. While you can check out our continually-updated Games of E3 List, we're now going to start diving deeper.
Every day leading up to the show, we'll be highlight the stuff we want to see and play at E3 2017. Today's game: Spider-Man PS4.
We saw a very brief look at Spider-Man at the PS4 Pro reveal event in September, but the last time we saw a full trailer was the game’s announcement at E3 2016.
This feels like a perfect marriage of everything Insomniac has proven it’s good at in recent years. The movement and feeling of freedom in Sunset Overdrive is unmatched, and last year’s Ratchet & Clank remake was one of the most beautiful games on PS4 to date.
It’s been years since we’ve had a Spider-Man game that really nails the character, and Insomniac feels like the perfect developer to do the web head justice. Plus, the suit looks brand new and suggests Insomniac might get to tell an original story instead of being tied down by existing lore.
Almost definitely. After making a splash with last year’s big reveal at E3, this year’s Sony conference is a perfect time to reveal some gameplay, especially since it’ll be just a month out from Spider-Man: Homecoming and a perfect time to get in on the hype.
