New Blizzard Mobile Game Seems to Be a Warcraft Spin-Off

Job listing points to "passion for creating imagery synonymous with the Warcraft IP."

Hearthstone: World of Warcraft might not be the only game in the franchise available for mobile devices for much longer.

A new Blizzard job posting (spotted by NeoGAF user Nirolak) seemingly confirms the company's next mobile game is based on the Warcraft series. The listing is for "an unannounced project for mobile" and says the person must possess a "passion for creating imagery synonymous with the Warcraft IP."

While previous theories pointed to a possible StarCraft or Overwatch mobile entry, that's apparently not the case.

Earlier this month, Hearthstone passed 70 million players. Meanwhile, Overwatch is currently in the middle of its first anniversary event.

Looking ahead, Blizzcon 2017 is set to take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in November. That might also be where Blizzard reveals this unannounced project.
