KH 3, FF VII Remake Arriving in 'Next Three Years or So'

Does casting haste help?

Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake aren't arriving anytime soon.

As part of Square Enix's recent financial results, the company listed both RPGs as fiscal 2018 and beyond releases. Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda added that "we plan to launch each of these upcoming titles in the next three years or so."

Now this timeframe fits with what Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura expressed earlier this year, saying both games "still have a way to go."

On top of that, Nomura revealed this week that Square Enix is 'urgently' recruiting people for Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Square Enix has unveiled new Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake screenshots this year. But other than that — and key art for Final Fantasy VII Remake — the company hasn't released much info on the RPGs.
