Firewatch Writer, Artist Working on Rick and Morty Comic

From the forests of Wyoming to the multiverse.

Two members of the Firewatch team have revealed a new collaboration — a Rick and Morty comic book.

Firewatch co-director and writer Sean Vanaman revealed on Twitter that he and Firewatch designer Olly Moss have worked on the 29th issue of the ongoing Rick and Morty comic book series, which will debut this August, with interior art by C.J. Cannon. Vanaman shared the cover art from the comic, which features main characters Rick and Morty riding in Rick's infamous Space Cruiser. Check out the image below.

When IGN reviewed Firewatch last year, we called it one of  the best "'walking simulators'" thanks to stellar writing, art direction, and voice acting." The game passed the 1 million-sales mark earlier this year.

Moss' work has also included a recent redesign of the Harry Potter book covers, available as part of the eBook versions of the series.

Meanwhile, the long-awaited third season of Rick and Morty will air this summer. Check out IGN's review of the Season 3 premiere, "The Rickshank Redemption," and be sure to check out IGN's review of Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, a VR experience based on the show.
