Twitch Adding Custom Heroes of the Storm Cheermotes

You can support pros to get loot.

Twitch announced today that it will be introducing custom Cheermotes available exclusively during Heroes of the Storm Global Championship (HGC) streams. The Cheermotes will be specific to each team competing in the HGC, and half of the proceeds from these Cheers will go directly to supporting those teams.

“For each Bit Cheered for a team, that team receives one half of one cent,” the blog post announcing the partnership explained, saying that Blizzard receives the other half of the cent each Bit usually represents.

Progress will be tracked on how many total Bits each team gets, as well as how many you've individually cheered, and in-game rewards will be unlocked for viewers as certain milestones are reached. By linking your Blizzard account to your Twitch account, you can earn Heroes of the Storm Loot Chests, mounts, and even exclusive emotes for the in-game chat.

The custom Cheermotes will go into effect during the HGC Western Clash on Friday, August 4. Anyone with Bits to Cheer will be able take advantage of them by clicking a Nexus button at the bottom of the chat window and selecting their team of choice, but only on the official BlizzHeroes Twitch channel.
