Today in San Diego Comic-Con's fabled Hall H, Warner Brothers revealed that its upcoming DC Extended Universe movie The Flash is seemingly set to adapt Geoff John's popular 2011 "Flashpoint" run from the comics.
Official logos were shown for a huge slate of DC Comics films including Justice League Dark, The Batman, Batgirl, and Green Lantern Corps. When The Flash's movie logo appeared on screen, it disappeared and morphed into "Flashpoint," to cheers from the crowd.
Flashpoint served as the lead-in for DC Comic's universe-wide "New 52" reset. It details an alternate universe where Superman is held captive, Bruce Wayne is dead, and other beloved heroes have had their status quo flipped upside-down.
The Flashpoint story was also adapted to TV in Season 3 of The Flash on CW.
