NVC: Nintendo's 'Lost' Arcade Games

Do the Donkey Kong.

The morning sun has vanquished the horrible night, and Nintendo Voice Chat has returned for Episode 365. You can now listen to one episode of the show for every day of a non-leap year! And if it's a leap year, you'll just have to dip into the Wii-k In Review Archives.

This week Samuel Claiborn, Casey DeFreitas, Brian Altano, and Zach Ryan talk about the New 2DS XL launch (likely the 2DS/3DS's era's final hardware iteration) including brief impressions of launch titles Miitopia and Hey! Pikmin.

Did you see the very awesome The Legend of Zelda custom arcade cabinets this week? Here are some images:

This prompted us to dust off the Nintendo Voice Chat Time Dilation Desk and take a trip to the 1980s. And the 1970s. And the 1990s! Nintendo's first major hit was Donkey Kong, an arcade game in 1981. From there, Nintendo regularly delivered arcade hits and misses. Even today Nintendo still supports arcades, with games like Luigi's Mansion Arcade.

Nintendo's cabinets, from the start, have been works of art. Check out these arcade flyers for Nintendo games in arcades to see what we mean.
