New Arms Mode Coming in Tomorrow's Update

Play as Hedlok in Arms' new versus mode.

Arms is getting a new versus mode in tomorrow's update.

In an interview with Eurogamer, producer Kosuke Yabuki revealed that the new mode will allow players to fight as the game's biggest baddie, Hedlok.

Two or three players will battle over a Hedlok mask during a match. Whoever gets the mask first can then turn their character into Arms' final boss. "If one player turns into Hedlok it'll be up to the other players to take him down," said Yabuki.

The Hedlok mode won't be limited to only 1v1 matches, as it will be available online and in all multiplayer modes. As previously announced, the update will also feature the new playable fighter Max Brass.

Arms will get a few balance tweaks as well in the new update. Though Yabuki did not go into detail as to what these changes will be, he did mention that using the same techniques "over and over again" to win matches is something the developers have wanted to fix.
