During the Warner Bros. panel today at San Diego Comic-Con, several stars of the DCEU subtly and not-so-subtly referenced the return of the Man of Steel.
In an exchange during the Q&A portion of the panel, a young boy asked the panel, “Where is Superman gonna be in this movie?" Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot replied, “You’re a very smart boy."
Jason Momoa, star of the upcoming Aquaman film, chose a... different approach to the boy's question. "Son, I’m not sure if your parents showed you the last movie but Superman’s dead," Momoa said. "That’s your parents’ fault."
Momoa went on to defend his blunt reply to the room, "Hey guys that’s just the facts. My kids are here too. They know he’s not around.”
Gadot jumped back in to soften the blow, "We can’t say much, but if you’re a big fan of superman, than I’m sure, you’re going to be very, very happy to watch Justice League.”
Of course, if you spotted the exclusive Justice League trailer Warner Bros. revealed during the panel, you might have caught the very end that strongly hints Superman is going to make an appearance. Alfred actor Jeremy Irons says to someone off-screen, "You said you'd be back. Let's hope it's not too late."
