Halo 5 Getting Native 4K Update for Xbox One X

The Master Chief collection of 360 games are Halo Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4.

Halo 5: Guardians will feature true 4K on Xbox One X after the game gets an update later this year.

Microsoft and 343 Industries said they'll reveal more about Halo 5 on Xbox One X later this year. But for now, Halo 5 joins over 30 other games also receiving 4K updates for the system.

But that's not all. Four Halo games will become backward compatible on Xbox One later this year too. They are Halo Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4.

Microsoft is also making all of the map packs for these four 360 games free to keep the community together.

343 is currently working on the next entry for the shooter series, but don't expect a Halo 6 reveal anytime soon.
