A-1 Pictures' anime movie Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry will be released in North American theaters this summer.
Funimation shared the news on Saturday during its panel at Anime Expo 2017, Anime News Network reports.
Following its release in Japan on May 12, Funimation debuted the English subtitled version of the film at Anime Central on May 20.
Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry is helmed by Attack on Titan and Aldnoah.Zero episode director Satsuma Minamikawa. Shoji Yonemura, who worked on the Fairy Tail anime television series, wrote the movie's script.
Several other anime movies are coming to theaters later this year, as Eleven Arts announced at Anime Expo that both A Silent Voice and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection are coming to U.S. theaters in October. For all the big news from this year's expo, stay tuned to IGN.
