Far Cry 5: Road to E3 2017

Will we be going hands-on in Hope County at E3?

It's that time of year again: E3 2017 is just on the horizon. From June 10-15, we'll be covering the biggest games and hardware announcements of 2017 and beyond. While you can check out our continually-updated Games of E3 List, we're now going to start diving deeper.

Every day leading up to the show, we'll be highlight the stuff we want to see and play at E3 2017. Today's game: Far Cry 5.

When Did We Last See Far Cry 5?

Far Cry 5 was recently revealed via a story trailer, as well as three separate cinematics that highlighted some of the allies we’ll meet amidst the chaos of Hope County, Montana.

Why We’re Excited for Far Cry 5

The explosive reveal trailer was rife with controversy, and rightfully so. This is the first time the long-running series is being set in America. Couple this with the antagonists being a cult of religious zealots who abide by the three Fs -- faith, freedom, and firearms -- and what you have is a story that has 2017 written all over it.

Will We See Far Cry 5 at E3 2017?

It's pretty much a guarantee that we'll see Far Cry 5 at E3 2017. Despite the fact that it isn't coming out until February 27, 2018, all signs are pointing towards a bit single-player blowout at this year's E3. Outside of the obvious showing at the Ubisoft conference, a marketing deal with PlayStation means that there's a good chance it'll also be at Sony's conference.
