Beyond's E3 2017 PlayStation Predictions

From Bloodborne 2 to a Spider-Man, here's what we hope Sony shows at E3.

E3 2017 is nearly upon us, so IGN's PlayStation crew gathered around to predict what Sony would show at its big E3 press conference. From Bloodborne 2 and God of War, to new games from Sucker Punch and Rocksteady, here's what we think/hope/fear will happen at the big show. Watch the video above, or read our predictions below.

Marty Sliva's Predictions
  • God of War and Spider-Man both get release dates -- one being late 2017, one early 2018.
  • No Death Stranding (editor's note: nailed it) or Last of Us Part II at the conference.
  • Bloodborne 2 teased, but From Software is not developing.
  • Media Molecule's Dreams is real, it’s on PSVR, and it’s available now!
  • A tease of Rocksteady’s new game -- either Justice League, Harry Potter, or Dunkirk.
  • BONUS: Spider-Man PS4 will open the show.
Max Scoville's Predictions
  • We'll see a Day's Gone trailer that focuses heavily on the characters, story, and world.
  • Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will open the show.
  • There'll be a Spider-Man PS4 tie-in with the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie.
  • A new limited edition PS4 bundle that is either absolutely gorgeous, totally hideous, or a bit of both.
  • A Ni No Kuni 2/Final Fantasy VII Remake/Kingdom Hearts III trailer that's punctuated by borderline incoherent stylized text over a black background.
Andrew Goldfarb's Predictions
  • Media Molecule's Dreams does not appear in any capacity whatsoever.
  • PSVR gets some kind of bundle or price cut to make it appealing, but no slim redesign or new controllers or anything.
  • No Bloodborne 2 whatsoever.
  • Sucker Punch has a trailer for what seems like a new Infamous, then ends up being something brand new.
  • A popular PC/Steam-only game will come to consoles on PS4 first.
  • BONUS: Day's Gone will open the show.
Brian Altano's Predictions
  • Bloodborne 2 will open the show, with a boss fight played live.
  • We'll get a gameplay reveal for The Last of Us: Part II
  • A PS4-exclusive Battlefront 2 mission will be shown.
  • We'll get a trailer for ThatGameCompany’s new game, out this fall.
  • Sony will drop the price Price drop for every PS4 SKU to combat Project Scorpio this fall.

Those are our predictions, but what do you think Sony will show off at its E3 2017 press conference? And for a full list of games at E3, check out our continually-updated Games of E3 List,
